The Lawyer for the Mother

The mother should get one-half of the estate (that is the average of one-third and two-thirds of the estate). The son can then receive two-thirds of the remaining half and the daughter can receive one- third of the remaining half. This means that the mother gets three-sixths of the estate, the son gets two-sixths of the estate, and the daughter gets one-sixth of the estate.
