I graduated from Furman University in the Fall of 1999 with a BS in Math/Computer Science. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree I moved to Athens in January and began working on my Masters in Math Education. Spring of 2001 I got all A's for the first time in college and I am quite proud of that.
This spring I have been coaching a Little League team with my roomates John and Brian. Although our record is not great we are having a great time and teaching the boys lots.
Recently I was hired by Clarke Central High School here in Athens. I will begin teaching mathematics there in the fall. Also, I will join there baseball coaching staff. The Gladiators baseball team is currently in the state playoffs after winning their region.
This summer I will be finishing up my work for my Masters. After my first full year of teaching I will be fully certified.
Beyond education my summer will include several weddings and some valuable time at Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville, Georgia with my family. Also, my girfriend, Katie O'Brien is moving to town to start work on her Masters of Accounting. It will be nice having her around full time again. She graduates from Furman on June 2, 2001.
My family is very imporatnat to me. I was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. My dad, William P. Adams, is a State Court Judge of Bibb County. My mom, Cheryl I. Adams, is a special education middle school teacher at Miller Middle Magnet School. My brother Brian, 22, will graduate from UGA in Fall 2001 and then go on to get his law degree. This summer Brian will be interning for Max Cleland in DC. My other brother Stephen just celebrated his 18th birthday and will be graduating form Central High School on May 26, 2001. He plans on attending Georgia College and State Univeristy starting this fall.
Another important part of my life is my girlfriend Katie O'Brien. She is graduating from Furman University June 2, 2001, and will be moving to Athens to begin work on her Masters of Accounting here at UGA. We have been dating for quite some time. Who knows what the future holds. Not me, but I do know that I am lucky to have her in my life.
