1. (5 points) Using GSP, illustrate and explain how 9/7 can be interpreted both as an operation and a measurement of length.

First let’s interpret 9/7 as an operation. In this case, I think of the numerator (9) as “expand by” 9 and the denominator as “shrink to/by” 1/7. I’ll do this using GSP:

Now I’ll interpret 9/7 as a measurement of length. This time I absolutely need to start with a unit because the 9/7 counts off how many of the unit length I need.
