I am a native of Georgia, born in Atlanta, attending high school in Athens, and now, again,a resident of Athens for the last fourteen years.
I am a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, and I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in mathematics from Georgia Southern College.
I have been married to Gil for almost nineteen years, and we have three children; Jay, 15, Ryan, 13, and Samantha, 9.
My family and I are Christians, serving at a local Baptist church in the music ministry.
I have taught secondary mathematics for nineteen years and am currently teaching at a local high school.
Currently, I am working on my master's degree in mathematics education here at the University of Georgia. My husband is finished with his schooling and my children are finally old enough to be left a few hours on their own to do chores and homework.
