Trigonometric Bingo
The object of this activity is to review the students on the trigonometric
ratios of the special angles. Each student should draw a bingo card (or
the teacher may duplicate the one given below). Have the students fill in
the squares with the actual ratios of the special angles: 0,30, 45, 60,
90, 180, and 270 degrees. I would have the students do this in ink and then
mark their squares with pencil to alleviate changing the squares. The teacher
should then call out the ratio (such as sin 30) and then the students with
that answer will mark it. Students could put the same answer more than once
on their bingo card since many of the trig ratios have the same value, for
example the sin 30 = cos 60. The first one to get bingo wins. You can then
have the students swap cards, or create new ones to play a whole new game.
