Lesson #3. Triangles

 

1.    The roof of a house is built at a 30¡ angle. The slant portion of the roof measures 17 feet. Use the ratios of a 30¡-60¡-90¡ right triangle to determine the height of the roof.

2.    Find the lengths of the missing sides of each triangle.

 

 

 

 

 

Lesson #4. Trigonometric Functions

 

1. Determine the value of csc θ if sin θ =0.35.

2. Determine the value of cot θ if tan θ = -3.2.

3.     Write an essay describing how the definition of a trigonometric function is related to the definition of its cofunction. Include example, illustrations.

 

 

Lesson #5: Unit Circle

 

1.    Let θ be an angle in standard position with its terminal side in quadrant II.  If , evaluate the other five trigonometric functions of θ.

Lesson #6: Sine and Cosine Graphs
