Lesson 8:
Trapezoids
Objectives:
1. The student will discover that the median of any trapezoid is parallel to the bases and has a length equal to half the sum of the base lengths.
2. The students will discover that base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.
3. The student will discover that a segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half its length.
4. The student will use these properties to find angle measures and lengths.
