Conjecture

A parabola in the form of (x-h)^2=4c(y-k) turns up or down.  When 4c is a

negative number, the parabola turns down, but if 4c is positive, the parabola

turns up.  (h,k) represents the vertex of the parabola.  A

parabola in the form of (y-k)^2=4c(x-h) turns right or left.  If 4c is positive

the parabola turns right,  but if 4c is negative the parabola turns left.  The

focus is located c units from the vertex and the latus rectum is 4 times this

distance.
