The students will really enjoy painting the planters. I let the students come up with 3 or 4 choices of paint and then let them choose from those. The students also liked to use stain and varnish. The students should try an estimate the amount of paint that is need. The most important thing here is to get water based paint. It would also be helpful to have some old shirts on hand for the students to wear.
