I
am currently in my first year as a doctoral student in math education here at
the University of Georgia. My
hometown is Walhalla, South Carolina, but I spent the last many years teaching
high school in Tacoma, Washington.
HereÕs a view of TacomaÕs waterfront with Mount Rainier looming in the
distanceÉ.

I received my
undergraduate degree from Erskine College and received a law degree from
Seattle University School of Law.
In 2004, I received a MasterÕs Degree from Montana State University.
I have many interests including writing,
art and traveling but one of my greatest loves is the guitar. I love to play the guitar – and
to collect them. HereÕs a sampleÉ.
