Paper Activity:  Angles of a Triangle

Using three sheets of paper, draw and cut out a right, acute, and obtuse triangle.

For each triangle, measure the three angles and find the sum of their measures.  

For each triangle, tear off the angles and place them on your desk adjacent to each other.  What type of angle is formed?

What can you conclude about the sum of the angle measures of a triangle?
