ŌGSP Script ToolsĶ
This webpage is a collection of possible script tools
to be used with GeometerÕs Sketchpad.
To activate a GSP script tool below, click on the
title of the script tool or the corresponding picture.
A centroid is the intersection of the medians of a
triangle.
The orthocenter is the intersection of the altitudes
through each vertex.
The circumcenter is the intersection of the perpendicular
bisectors of the triangle.
The incenter is formed by the intersection of the
angle bisectors.
The incircle is the inscribed circle of the triangle.
The medial triangle is formed by connecting the
midpoints of the sides of the original triangle.
Orthocenter
and Mid-segment Triangle
Connecting segments from the midpoints of the segments
from the verticies of the original triangle and the orthocenter forms the mid-segment
triangle.
The orthic triangle is formed by connecting the feet
of the altitudes of the original triangle.
The pedal triangle is formed by connecting the feet of
the altitudes from a given point in the plane (the pedal point) to form another
triangle.
This tool finds the center of the nine point circle
for a given triangle, as well as the resulting nine point circle.
This tool constructs the nine point circle for a given
triangle.
This tool trisects a given line segment
This tool constructs an equilateral triangle if given
a side.
This tool constructs a square, given a side.
This tool constructs an isosceles triangle if given a
base length and height of the triangle.
This tool finds the: Orthocenter, Centroid, Circumcenter, and Incenter for a
given triangle.
Triangle
Centers with Euler Line Segment
This tool connects the Centroid, Circumcenter, and
Orthocenter in the Euler Line Segment, as well as construct the Incenter for a
given triangle.
Locus of vertex of a
fixed angle that subtends a fixed segment
This tool allows you to create the locus of points
that a fixed angle subtending a segment creates. To use the tool, first create the fixed angle, then draw the
length of the line segment.
Golden
Ratio of a Line Segment
This tool divides a given line segment into the golden
ratio.
This tool constructs a regular pentagon, given a
radius segment.
This tool constructs a regular pentagon given a side
length.
This tool constructs a regular hexagon, given a side
length.
This tool constructs a regular octagon given a side
length.
This tool creates two tangent circles (blue) to two
previously drawn other circles (green).
To use this tool, draw the inside green circle first, then the outside
green circle.
This tool draws
the blue tangent circle to two previously drawn circles. The tool starts with the inside green
circle, then the outside green circle.
This tool draws
another blue tangent circle to two previously drawn circles. The tool starts with the inside green
circle, then the outside green circle.
This tool creates
the four external tangents to two separate circles. To use this tool, start with the
smaller circle, and then the larger.
This tool creates
the top external tangent to two separate circles. To use this tool, start with the smaller circle, and then
the larger.
