This page contains suggestions for activities related to tessellations that are appropriate for most grades.

Students can bring in real-world examples of tessellations and discuss their patterns . Some examples include quilts, honeycomb and chicken wire, brickwork, mosaic floor or tilings, silk ties, posters and puzzles to name a few. Below are pictures of tessellations. |
