A line that crosses two other lines in the same plane is called a transversal.

In the figure below, which line is a transversal?  m, n, or t?


Angles 1, 2, 7, and 8 are called exterior angles.
Angles 3, 4, 5, and 6 are called interior angles.

Write a definition for exterior angles.

 

Write a definition for interior angles.

 


Angles 1 and 5 are corresponding angles.
Angles 4 and 8 are also corresponding angles.

Write a definition for corresponding angles.

Give two more pairs of corresponding angles.
