Homework Assignment Three

Directions: This assignment is worth 10 points. In this assignment, you will find the area of different two-dimensional shapes using a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet should be set up to look like the following:

Cells D3, D7, and C11 all have had the formulas for area input into them so that when the correct numbers are inserted into them the area is automatically calculated.

Now, that you have set up your spreadsheet, you can calculate the area and perimeter of the following shapes.

Problems:

1) A rectangle that is 10 feet by 6 feet.

2) A rectangle that is 4 cm by 11 cm.

3) A rectangle that is 420 mm by 345 mm.

4) A sqare with sides of 19 cm.

5) Triangle with sides of 3 ft, 4 ft, 5ft, a base of 7 ft, and a height of 10 ft.

6) Triangle with sides of 23 ft, 14 ft, 35ft, a base of 17 ft, and a height of 23 ft.

7) Triangle with sides of 33 ft,45 ft, 92 ft, a base of 70 ft, and a height of 100 ft.

8) A circle with a radius of 56 in.

9) A circle with a radius of 37 in.

10) A circle with a diameter of 100 in.


Now, save your spreadsheet to your disk as Homework Assignment Three and hand in your work.
